Equality Myanmar Annual Report 20018

In Myanmar we continue to face many challenges in ending human rights abuses and seeking truth for those who experienced them. There is an ongoing battle for whose ideas and principles will prevail. At times it can seem we are a long way from being a society that respects universal human rights. It can be difficult to accept that we have put so much work into creating change, only to realize it will require so much more. But we will continue this long battle. We will do everything we can to make people see each other as equals, and to respect one another regardless of race, religion or ideological difference. At Equality Myanmar we see it as our role to stand strong for human rights and to empower others to do the same.
