Equality Myanmar strongly condemns the ongoing military coup d’état. We are also concerned with human rights violations following the coup, including the arrest of some political leaders and activists, raids and forced closure of political party offices.

We are demanding the following to Tatmadaw:

  1. Immediate release to all the political leaders and activities without exception.
  2. Stop all the activities and acting which oppose democracy and restrict the human rights of the people.
  3. Respect the will of people and immediately end to the military coup.

Equality Myanmar stands with the people to create a collective movement and an environment that respects democracy and human rights.
