Human Rights Tattoos
To highlight the importance of human rights, three Burmese tattoo artists are tattooing letters from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on 120 participants in Pansodan Scene in Rangoon from June 17 to 18 between 10am and 6pm. This human rights tattoo project coincides with the Human Rights Human Dignity International Film Festival.
Participants do not get to select which letter is tattooed on them, but they do get to choose the font of the tattoo and on which part of their body it is placed. After the tattoo is done, a photo of and statement from each person will be published on the project website.
