Equality Myanmar has launched its 2018 Training for Trainers (TOT) Training”

Equality Myanmar has started its annual program of Training for Trainers (TOT) training program on February 22nd, 2018.

At the opening ceremony of this training, Equality Myanmar Executive Director, U Aung Myo Min, gave his opening speech which stated “He is proud of each and everyone who have joined this human rights training program and welcome them as part of the family members who are striving for the human rights. Furthermore, there are people who had drawn different kind of definition to human rights in this generations as well as misconception on the human rights are at its verge so after attending this human rights training the participants should deliver the human rights knowledge with its core truth and one should raise the good innate to become a human rights trainer”

After that, the parliamentary representatives from the Mandalay Division Aung Myay Tharzan township, U Khun Kyaw  Oo said “ In our country, we have lost in human rights for a significant number of years. Previously, we can’t openly talked about the human rights but now things have changed we can openly discussed about it in public. And I feel really glad to have these kinds of human rights training”.

He added by saying that he welcomed the commencement of the human rights training  and human rights and its responsibilities are balancing and it is not only about the opportunities but have to respect the responsibilities are some of the important facts.

“Instead of feeling proud to be selected to attend the training, we need to think that what we can change or even helped in our environment after attending this training. And I hope that at the end of this training, there will be a group of people who are sailing in the same boat towards for the better human rights for our country and for our own stand” are some of the encouraging words said by Ma Su Chit, one of the TOT graduated trainer from 2013.

Moreover, Senior Advocacy trainer from Equality Myanmar, U Aung Zaw Htwe, would like to urge the participants to give their 100% in understanding the human rights and to become a person who will stand for the public and communities and to develop the moral and spirit to work for our people .

After ending this opening ceremony of the training, participants and trainers discussed about the training module. There are (27) participants who have been selected out of (100) applicants who have applied for this training. The training is going to be commenced from the period starting from 22nd of February,2018 to 23rd of March, 2018 in Mandalay, Shwe Phyu Hotel.
