Reflection workshop took place after the project “CSOs’ Human rights and advocacy capacity building”

The activities of the project “CSOs’ Human rights and advocacy capacity building” (ISO project), implemented by Equality Myanmar and funded by FHI-360, have successfully completed on July 31st 2018.

The reflection workshop after “the Reflection Workshop and End Line Survey” project held on July 28th- 29th at the Best Western Green Hill Hotel, Yangon was attended by the 20 organizations from 21 consortium partner organizations working together under the project. They reviewed and discussed about the related matters.

A representative attending the workshop says, “This can provide not only for disabled federation but also for our mother organizations (main organizations).”

The purpose of the workshop is (1) to review the lessons and challenges encountered in advocacy capacity building and strategic planning programs and (2) to do End Line Survey.
According to most of the representatives attended, they evaluated that ISO Project is very effective for doing advocacy activities and planning strategy a lot.

In order for ensuring the participation of the representatives from disabled organizations attended, two sign-language interpreters and one for caption were provided for people with disability. Total number of the representatives from 20 organizations who attended the workshop is 50.

“I come to realize that how to advocate in a timely manner. And also I’ve quite understand about the facts that should be aware of,” another representative said.
