Board and Staff Members from Stefanus Alliance International Visit to Equality Myanmar

5 March 2014 (Hlaing Township, Yangon Division, Myanmar)

Equality Myanmar – EQMM (formerly known as Human Rights Education Institute of Burma) welcomed board and staff members – total 23 people from Stefanus Alliance International who visited to Equality Myanmar office in Yangon on 5th of March 2014.

Stefanus Alliance International which based in Norway is the one of main funding supporter of Equality Myanmar.

U Aung Myo Min, Executive Director and Founder of Equality Myanmar explained about the background history and program activities of organization as well as ongoing engagement with government officials regard human rights issues in Myanmar. Moreover, he added about Burma/Myanmar’s current political situation and responded to several questions regard Burma/Myanmar’s human rights situation which were asked by the group. And he facilitated round table short discussion about basic human rights by using participatory methodology to the group.

Equality Myanmar believed that board and staff members from Stefanus Alliance International were enjoyed to learn about Equality Myanmar organization, Burma/Myanmar’s political and human rights situation and basic human rights awareness on that day although it was short time.
