Rights for All (European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights)
The “Rights for All” project is a tripartite initiative shared by EQMM, LRC and DCA/NCA under the patronage of the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights. It works with an extensive network of Human Rights Defenders, civil society groups and government officials in six states and regions in Myanmar.
The main objective of the action is to strengthen Human Rights Defenders (HRDs) and civil society efforts in promoting and protecting human rights of vulnerable and marginalized groups and enhance their influence in policy dialogue to create a more inclusive and sustainable democratic society in Myanmar.
The project is implemented in six states and regions; Kachin, Northern Shan State, Mon, Kayin, Thanintharyi and Mandalay by EQMM and LRC. DCA provides management, technical and co-financial support in the implementation of the project.
The project directly aims to strengthen the capacity of 550 local Human Rights Defenders, 18 Human Rights CSOs, 5 National-Level CSO Networks, 100 Government Members (MPs, Military MPs, MNHRC staff and Civil Servants), 200 Political Parties and EAO members through capacity building, building networks, advocacy engagement and a small grants mechanism that offers CSOs the opportunity to address core human rights issues in their communities.
