{"id":5708,"date":"2020-09-30T14:16:00","date_gmt":"2020-09-30T07:46:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/equalitymyanmar.org\/mm\/?p=5708"},"modified":"2020-12-15T14:20:28","modified_gmt":"2020-12-15T07:50:28","slug":"myanmar-since-the-2-upr-cycle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/equalitymyanmar.org\/mm\/2020\/09\/30\/myanmar-since-the-2-upr-cycle\/","title":{"rendered":"MYANMAR SINCE THE 2 UPR CYCLE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>The Burma\/Myanmar Universal Periodic Review Forum July 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During the 2 Universal Periodic Review in 2015, Myanmar received 281<br \/>\nrecommendations. 166 were \u201caccepted\u201d and 15 were \u201cnoted.\u201d<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Ratifications and Cooperation with the UN System \u2014 Myanmar has ratified four out of nine core international human rights treaties.<br \/>\nFollowing the last UPR Cycle, Myanmar acceded to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights in 2017. Myanmar has refused cooperation with the UN Special Procedures. No visits have been conducted since the 2 UPR cycle.
